Current Club Projects include:
Lion Mints are available from several outlets within the community. We sell PEPPERMINT and FIZZERS. Each roll sells for 50cents and is considered as a donation towards Club, National, and International projects. Sales of Lions cakes and puddings are also popular.
Nambucca Plaza & RSL Club Raffles
These raffles are held at the Nambucca Plaza on Saturday Mornings at 10.00am and at the Nambucca Heads RSL Club on Thursday Evenings commencing at 6.00pm. Proceeds are allocated to projects conducted locally by the Club.
These markets are coordinated and held at the Nambucca Plaza on the 2nd Sunday of each month commencing at 8.00am. The great thing with these markets is you never know what you will find. Everything including from plants, music, clothing, books and tools. The markets can now cater and provide for those wishing to hold a car boot sale. It could be somewhere for the kids to play, catching up with friends or finding something special that you didn't know existed. Breakfast is available from the Lions BBQ van. Site cost is $10.00 per customer, additional area $5.00 with $10.00 extra for those customers not holding own liability insurance. Graffiti clean-up and cleaning of BBQs continued throughout the year at Bellwood, ANZAC, Gordon Parks and with the assistance of the Nambucca Council and local tradesmen another BBQ was installed at the V-Wall.

The VW Spectacular was a huge weekend with numbers far exceeding their expectations. We put in 295 hours which was worthwhile as we received a cheque for 2000 Dollars for our efforts. We raised 760 Dollars for them from the sale.
Nambucca Council agreed to our proposal to upgrade the area on Link Road as Duffos Rest Awhile. The tree planting at the two schools went ahead with help of ABI Group. It was a positive exercise and the kids especially those from the Christian School had a great time.
Twenty One Christmas parcels were sent to Servicemen and Women who are absent overseas at Christmas. In return the Club received two messages of appreciation.
The Club again supported Camp Elim when two local boys Oscar Jones and Jarod Fenech were nominated and accepted invitations to attend the week long Camp.
Our Club continues to support the establishment of a Local Kidney Dialysis unit with Lions John Mills, Paul Wood and Peter ONeill with Lions Ladies Shirley Parveez, Pam Sozou and Claire Wood attending the most recent meeting.
The Club continues to support the many local community functions including recently assisting at two recent activities by cooking BBQ meals at the Careers Day function at Bellwood Park and at the dedication of the local mosaic during the Aboriginal Cultural Day at Stuart Island, when 280 and 180 meals were cooked respectively. The Club continues to support and BBQ cook during each yearly Seniors Citizen's Week.

Lions Park Lookout - Installation of BBQs, shelter shed and positioning of new entrance to the Park
Stuart Island - Construction of boat ramp and jetty, clearing the Island of under growth and general rubbish, installation of fencing and a BBQ Area.
Illawong Homes - Purchase of 1 unit where the Club still has one member on the Board of Management. A trailer was also purchased for use at Illawong homes
Bellwood Park - Construct - 1st pontoon wooden frame with 44 gallon drums. Construction of 2nd pontoon from fibre glass, then Purchase of 3rd pontoon. Involvement with park restoration, Retaining wall & other general work. Erection of timber BBQs and supplied fire wood.
Gordon Park - Fencing of tennis courts
Coronation Park - Fencing, tree planting and construction of amenities block at the soccer oval
Surf Club - Replace timber wall at rear of club house, manned gate for surf carnivals, nippers and mermaids â€“ cooking BBQs at these functions
Macksville Show Ground - Erected gates
Club BBQ Van - Construction with purchased chassis & wheels with the remainder of the fit-out being completed by Club Members
Captain Cook Lookout - Rotunda construction twice with the latest one still in use
McMorrine Park - Clearing from Bellwood store, up the gully to below Illawong Homes, during which time a cricket pitch and 2 tennis courts were discovered.
Sheltered workshop - Instigated the purchase of a bus to convey people to the Kempsey Workshop
Nambucca Heads Public School - Remove coral trees from playground, Construct sand pit, Construction of playing fields including drainage, piping leveling and construction of a cricket pitch
Nambucca Heads Public School - landscaping of area
Riverside gardens - Construction of a footpath and bridge
Shelley beach - Installation of a retaining wall
Installation of Electric BBQs at ANZAC Park, Bellwood Park, Gordon Park and at the V-Wall

Purchased a Ripple Bed for Macksville Hospital
Conduct Tree Planting in local area including at the Nambucca Primary (Red) and Frank Partridge VC Schools
Assist in the construction of the Nambucca Heads library and the purchase of cupboards for the Nambucca Heads Entertainment Centre.
Conduct and support many local Youth Projects including Youth of the Year, Peace Poster Projects, Youth Exchange to Japan, Scholarships for two local High School students and Book prizes at the four local schools in Nambucca Heads
Hosted the 2004 District 201n1 Convention, many Zone, Cabinet meetings and Incoming Officers Schools
Chartered two Lions Clubs; Valla and Bowraville and one Leo Club; Nambucca Heads
Assist and support Australia day celebrations at Gordon Park and Carols by Candle Light for many years
Assist and support many local fundraising activities including the purchasing of Dialysis equipment, Diabetes Testing Awareness, Smith Family Clothing Appeal, the Macksville & District Hospital for the purchase of equipment, charity auction in support of Camp Quality,
Assisted in previous Hibiscus Festival, Hibiscus Queen, Street parades, Oktoberfest celebrations and entered a contestant in the 1988 Miss Personality quest
